Relaxed Cinema Screening
Manchester Parent Carer Forum’s next relaxed cinema screening is coming up. It’s for SEND families living in the Manchester City Council area, with showings at GRUB, an independent cinema venue in the Red Bank area of Manchester city centre. The next screening is on Saturday 2nd December, 10am-12pm, and the film that won the poll is The Polar Express! Booking opens this evening, Wednesday 22nd November, at 6pm.
Christmas with The SPACE Group
Panto time
It’s panto season – oh, yes it is! In the run up to Christmas, there are performances of Jack and the Beanstalk for SEND families living in the Manchester City Council area. It’s £5 per adult and free for children (not suitable for under 3s).
Face to face bookings
These are in-person bookings only, paying by cash, and include lunch for everyone. Hopefully, some of you will have got your tickets at our Wythenshawe drop in last week. There’s another opportunity this Friday 24th November, 11am-1pm, at The SPACE Group in North Manchester, St George’s Community Centre, Bothwell Rd, M40 7NY. Panto dates:

The other performances can only be booked through Eventbrite and include snack packs to take home. They are all on Friday 22nd December at North West Theatre Arts Company in Moston, 270 Lightbowne Rd, Manchester M40 5HQ. Please be aware that panto can be a lively and noisy theatre experience which won’t be suitable for all children with SEND. There are two relaxed performances on Friday 22nd December at 1.30pm and 5.30pm with lower sound and light levels.
Christmas parties
Ain’t no party like a SPACE Group party! Join the team this Christmas at one of their free fun-tastic parties. All parties are on Saturday 23rd December at two venues and are for SEND families living in the Manchester City Council area.

Christmas coach trips
The SPACE Group are also organising two coach trips to Blackpool illuminations:
- Thursday 28th December from St Nicholas Church Kingsway, M19 1PL leaving at 12.30pm
- Friday 29th December from The Grange Community Resource Centre, Pilgrim Drive, Beswick, M11 3TQ, leaving at 12.30pm

FLIP for 11-25s
FLIP is specially for young people with SEND aged 11-25 who live in the Manchester City Council area. No parents/carers or younger siblings, please.
These free music-making and skateboarding sessions are at Projekts skatepark near Piccadilly Station every Wednesday 4.30-6.30pm in term time (no session on 6th December). Young people can enjoy an hour of skateboard coaching, followed by an hour of music-making with Billy and Andy who offer accessible music workshops. Families are welcome to hang out in the cafe during the sessions or watch the skateboarders from the viewing balcony. To book places, contact info@billyandandy.co.uk, 07429 826053.
